what's going on?
So the new plan will be starting tomorrow and I will be counting my calories… 1200 a day… Yep counting my calories… exciting huh… I bought some lean cuisine, got some 100 calorie packs, and some vitamin water and such… so it will be interesting to see how this process goes and where it takes me…

Me at the end of 40 days
Weigh in at 199.4 lbs
So excited… I am sorry that i haven't really been blogging lately… it has even been a struggle on my family blog as well as my creative blog… We have been super busy… more often away from the homestead than at home… which is why i think i didn't do as good this time as the 1st time i did the HCG…
So total loss since January is 38.4 LBS… almost at 40LBS… but the best news is that i am under 200LBS… that right there is a milestone for me… that blue denim shirt in the photo is a LARGE… yes a LARGE… and the pants are an 18 but they are big on me…
I am wearing LARGE shirts instead of XXL or XL… That right there is a huge improvement… then the pants i have gone from a size 20 to a size 16… I can buy stuff at TARGET… Probably at OLD NAVY too but i am waiting on that one… Next goal is to fit into my LEVI’S size 14 SHORT…
So now i will be on Phase 3… and i really don't see my life slowing down any time soon… I will post when i can… hopefully every day if not every other day…
This was me with cousin KRISTA and my MOM in Havasu in Jan 2010 that is me before all the weight loss… The second photo was taken in Feb when i first started the diet… third photo is on my 40th day from cycle 1 and taken in march…
This photo of me in the hat is from April… while on my 6 week hiatus…
These two photos are from the same day different angles almost… but i was about 215 in these photos… and these are from our trip in May to California's great America…
It is interesting to see the progression i have made and the transformation that has begun… so excited to carry on forward… i now have 39.4 Lbs to reach 160… that is my next goal…

Same eating habits as i usually have…
For Friday i took a nap at 445pm and didn't get up until 845 so yes a 4 hour nap with no dinner… by the time i got up it was too late to have one… oh well
On Saturday i went for a walk with a friend about a 20 min brisk walk… I had tons of errands to run…
For dinner i had chicken… grilled on the BBQ marinaded in apple cider vinegar, cayenne pepper, garlic salt and some grilled chicken seasoning… YUMMY!

Day 21
So yesterday i didnt realize that it was the half way mark… Wow… but kind of not really since last week was that time of the month… so, really i am on like day 19… but whatever…
Weigh in 203.0 so i did an apple day today… since i was pretty much the same as the day before…
so yeah my day was pretty boring… I have been tired lately… but i think it is because my body is fighting off a cold… yes i said it a cold in JUNE… WTH… whatever… anyways cant wait to see what i am weighing in tomorrow…
I am seriously 3 lbs away from 200 and 4 lbs away from 199… so excited…

lost 6 tenths of a pound… i did well until i got home and realized i left my HCG at work… What the Heck! oh well tomorrow is another day…
made a tomato paste based beef meal…
it included apple cider vinegar
tomato paste
garlic, garlic salt, oregano, chili powder, cayenne pepper and black pepper… and put over a bed of shredded lettuce… I couldn't find the cabbage at the Albertsons i went to… Oh well… It was good don't get me wrong…I had eggs with salsa this morning and chicken breast with salsa for lunch…
YUMMY…
here's to another good day tomorrow…

OMG!!! I am so close to being at 200LBS i can not believe it…
Today for Breakfast i had hard boiled eggs with salsa… my usual apples for my snacks and then for lunch and dinner chicken breast with salsa…
That was about my day… I know boring huh… It was so totally hectic at work today… with the move and all…
Tomorrow is a new day… I think the number one reason that it has been harder for me this time around is because i have not prepared like i used too…I haven't made the time like i did the last round…

This is me as of Saturday the 29th… at 206.8 LBS so excited… that blouse is a size 14/16 and the pants are a little loose… I think the pants are a size 18… and those shoes i bought 2 years ago for one of my Dear Hubby’s Christmas parties… I am making progress…
This picture is from January of this year… End of January… that is what 30+ LBS looks like…
The Picture below is me at the end of my first cycle literally on day 40… so i was at 212.4 LBS… progress being made little by little…

So on day 10 which was Sunday i weighed in at a svelte 207.4 and today, day 11 which is Monday i weighed in at 206.8… If i am down to 205.8 tomorrow i will have lost a total of 30LBS… with the HCG diet…
That is the most weight i have lost using one diet alone EVER!!! this is HUGE! Today for dinner i made chicken with restaurant style salsa that i bought from Albertsons…Recipe as follows…
Chicken
Capful of Apple cider vinegar
a sprinkle of garlic salt
and 1/2 cup of salsa…
cut chicken up… Throw in pan and heat … Throw in the capful of APPLE CIDER VINEGAR, with the SPRINKLE OF GARLIC SALT… after about 2 mins or so add a 1/4 cup of Salsa in and keep heating, while stirring… once chicken is done put in bowl or on plate, add another 1/4 cup of SALSA…

some things essential for the HCG diet
Here are a few things i find to have essential in your pantry while doing the HCG diet…
- Swanson's chicken and beef broth
- Apple Cider vinegar
- Spices such as Cayenne pepper, garlic salt, garlic, ground cumin, black pepper, Turmeric ‘
- Tomato sauce and paste
if you have those that will help out a lot…
i usually would throw things together… either it is going to be a hit or a miss…
but you will never know unless you try it:)

Friday stats as follows 208.6 yes while it is only a slight drop it is still a drop in weight… i will take the two tenths of a pound…
and then on Saturday 208.4 another two tenths of a pound..

i actually last weighed in at 211.4 so i had gained not quite 5 LBS… oh well… will lose it now :)
breakfast: 3 scrambled eggs…
Lunch: Tomato sauce with apple cider vinegar, liquid smoke, cayenne, black pepper, chives, onions, garlic, garlic salt… and some chicken… It was spicy… but good… made me slow down and really enjoy my lunch… for dinner i just had some chicken…

Went to my parents today… This is the load day #2 so Sunday i am on the strict diet of 40 days with spices, 500 protein calories and 15 cups of veggies oh and 3 apples a day… Eating 6 times… and stopping at 7pm… I am looking forward to this… It is always a challenge… but am ready to see the scale go down in the numbers instead of up…

Going to Start…

Sunday... Bad day long day:) lets just say that i didnt plan very good food wise... only one meal and it consisted of 2 hamburger patties, onions tomatoes and some mustard and a side of strawberries... I had no cake... But did sniff a potatoe chip for way too long... never made it in my mouth...

Day 36 & 37
What the Heck... :) I am so happy that i am finally seeing some more weight loss... Today was a bad day... I dont mean i ate unhealthy foods... but rather only ate twice today... I know shame on me... I wasnt planning on doing that... that was part of the problem... I DIDNT PLAN... in order to be successful on this diet you have to be planning ahead... Let me say to be successful in the weight loss game you have to plan ahead...
That makes it 21 pounds since the start of this HCG diet and 3 pounds from the Grapefruit diet... Damn i am coming up close to 25 LBS which is 1/4 of the loss that i want to see for my goal...

Yes i stayed the same as Tuesday... However i finally started today and i got ill... I think from something i ate... I tossed my cookies (and no i havent had any sweets since i have started this program)... my spinich may have gone bad... So lucky me... I was cramping and i had a bad stomach... it is so embarrassing at work to go into the ladies bathroom and have to puke...Horrible day...

But If going through all that pain gets me to my 20 LB weight loss goal then it was all worth it... So instead of bringing lunch today i bought in the cafeteria... 3 scrambled eggs, then 1/2 steak at lunch with romaine lettuce tomatoes onions and some salsa... then for dinner we went to subway where i got the turkey sandwich as a salad... with vinegar for my dressing... then my apples... Still going down on the scale... i love it...
I still can not believe in 8 days my 40 day journey is over... I am sad that i didnt lose the 40 pounds in 40 days, I am happy that i have lost almost 20 pounds... It is what it is... Right? at least i went down on the scale and not ever climbing back up... My Husband asked me the other night if i planned on keeping the weight off(after i said that i wanted to shop at old navy again once i can fit cutely in thier clothes) and i advised him that gaining the weight back is not an option... He is going to help with keeping my weight off... How might you ask... Well i am glad you did, By getting on with healthier eating habits alongside me... I can only go forward from now on... I can not turn my ugly head back in the direction that i was going... I need to go in a more positive direction... If i turn my back on the knowledge that i have obtained in the last 40 days then what have i gained, what have i sacraficed?
Then it will be onto another journey for 21 days... So looking forward to it :)

I can not believe i will be starting phase 3 in like 9 days... wow!!! Boy am i looking forward to having avocado, almonds and some peanut butter... back into my diet... even cheese and sour cream with my chili...
I will hopefully have a video camera sometime soon so that way i can make some videos of me cooking some of my new found mad skills at cooking... with my new found recipes... and my mad spinning skills of someothers...
and maybe do some video logs... cause sometimes writing is not the same as saying it right out of my mouth...

had to work today... so i had my hard boiled eggs for BK then for snack Apples and then for lunch and dinner Chicken soup...

I am looking forward to Phase 3...
While it is true i shouldve lost more weight by now... I have to be happy since it is what it is... I will definitely be doing another round as of May 14th ish... In between i will be going to the gym and do zumba... and do some weight watchers... to help with my weight loss... it will only be for 3 weeks... but we shall see... i would like to see 207 by day 40... that is another 10 pounds with a weight loss of 27 pounds...

We went to the wharehouse to pick up more cookies (yes it is girl scout cookie season... Lucky me :) )
Anyways the night before we were at disneyland... so i think i got some exercise in...
So lets see 3 hard boiled eggs + salsa = my kind of egg salad
tomato paste + veggies and meat = my kind of spaghettie less meatsauce
dinner: Lean ground beef + green bell peppers, cilantro, onions, spinich, black pepper, cayane pepper and garlic salt = hamburger pattie... YUMMY on a bed of romaine lettuce, and tomatoes and green onions... YUMMY...
all in all not much done today... It rained and rained and rained :)

Day 19
I had 3 apples today and then egg salad for dinner...
And i had many cravings for sweets and to cheat and did i no... I was super stressed today and i don't know why... I wanted to eat all the things that i haven't been able to have or really want... I rarely get asked how my day goes all i hear is the complaints from my husband... tomorrow is halfway... I can do this really i can... and i know that right around the corner well i think more like Friday Aunt Flow should be rearing her ugly head... and i don't know if that has anything to do with 1.my plateau... or that i want to eat myself into a coma of nothing but sweets and stuff that i shouldn't want... or maybe both...

I feel an apple day coming on if i cant lose some weight here...
I should be down 18 pounds by now but am only down 12...
i Had my 3 eggs with salsa, had my chicken breast with romaine lettuce red onions and tomatoes lots of black pepper and some salsa for dinner, tons of water... for dinner i had 4% fat ground beef, with tomatoe paste, scallions, onions, tomatoes with garlic salt , garlic, black pepper, cummin, cayenne pepper... YUMMY!!! 2pieces of sugarless gum and my two apples... boy was it a busy day for eating...
Work was good... And it seems to me that i am better at this at work than at home... and i dont know how that is possible but it is so...

had my 3 eggs, an apple (not enough water) Lemonaide, and then i had a taco salad made with the beef and some salsa roamine lettuce, tomatoes, cabbage, onions...
made the beef with cumin, cayenne, garlic salt and black pepper... and some fresh cilantro...
my lemonaide i made with some water some fresh squeezed lemons and some stevia to make sweet... I just did this all by taste... i didnt measure very well... which i should go and try measuring stuff out instead of by sight...
it turned out good...
I had my parents over and made everyone enchiladas with cheese and sourcream, beans with some cheese, and then thin mint brownies for dessert, they had chips and salsa before hand... I was a good girl...

I had for breakfast 3 scrambled eggs with salsa
lunch a chicken breast with some romaine lettuce, onions, tomatoes and salsa for the dressing... YUMMY
then for dinner i made a soup the night before and it had chicken broth with garlic, onions, chicken, tomatoes, basil oregano cayenne and black pepper... boy was it spicy but it was so good...
today i really was tempted almost ate a cookie... but refrained from doing so... I want to be good on this diet and lose the weight... i dont want anything i do to jeopardize the weight loss...

today i made scrambled eggs for breakfast with garlic, onions black pepper and mustard... YUMMY
then for lunch and dinner i made a salad...
romaine lettuce, some cabbage, 1/2 tomato chopped, chopped onions, some green onions, and then some hillshire farms chicken sandwich meat...
for a dressing i used the following...3 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar with the following spices...

Black Pepper (1 Shake)
cayenne pepper (1shake)
and then i mixed it together with a fork...
Then drizzled over my salad...
I had an apple for a snack and then while at dland(yes we went to disneyland today) i had a banyan (spicy) beef skewer from the bengal bbq which is my fave...
I may have cheated a little...
Other than that i did good... we waited until after 4 pm to go to the park..I was not tempted at all to get any sweets or junk...

Day 7 Thursday
While i gained a whole pound... we shall see what the scale says tomorrow... I have not cheated... I promise... Today i had egg salad for breakfast, my two apples... Turkey patty with salad and salsa as dressing... for dinner i started to make the Spaghetti less spaghetti... MMM good... i used meat 100 grams onion and tomatoes, tomato paste... heres where it got sketchy i used too much cayenne black pepper and chili powder... i also included garlic and garlic salt...
yeah it was a bit too spicy... but good... :)
I felt really good today... Today i ovulated and i dont know if that is what was causing a slight weight gain...
I love that i have not been having mental fog lately... I love that i get to cook and use spices...

Day 6
yes...
Today i had the most yum for dinner... I prepared the Chili from the Cookbook... Fresh onion, Tomatoes and lean meat... with cayenne, chili powder oregano, and garlic YUM...that was for dinner
Had my 2 apples, my eggs for breakfast, and i had a great turkey burger (just the patty) with some romaine lettuce, tomato, onion and salsa... :)
I realized yesterday or today... that I have a food addiction... Carbs and sweets and chips calling my name before... Now that i have " DETOXED" i am not having any cravings... i could care less if my DH has chips or sweets...

Day 5...
Already day 5 and down 5LBS... WoooHoo
had 2 apples, 3 eggs hardboiled, Chicken tomatoes and romaine lettuce... Then for dinner meat with green peppers and onions and red chili pepper and garlic powder...
Hunger pains... then when i drank water they went away... noticing difference between hunger pains and thirsty pains...
Went grocery shorpping bought some broth chicken and beef... Some more spices... I need to find melba toast or not... it seems that is ok if i dont... not too much of a big deal...
cant wait to see how the scale goes tomorrow...

Day 1 Loading
I will be keeping track of this on a daily basis for the next 40 days... This is my online journal...
About Halfway through on day 20 I will post what exactly i am doing with more details... I just want to get the first half completed before i say anything... cause i tend to jinx myself... and lose motivation... Every Friday i will post my measurements and everyday i will be posting my weight loss
I will also type in what i have been eating for breakfast lunch and dinner...
So heres to day 1
so basically i ate tons today... i had a brownie this morning... i couldnt resist since i will be giving up sweets for the next 40 days and possibly the rest of my life...and it was a small portion and it was good... i also had tator tots and 2 pieces of sausage... i had a apple as a mid morning snack.... at lunch we ordered in with olive garden and i ordered the chicken ceasar salad...YUM... with 2 bread sticks... then i had a piece of strawberry shortcake that one of my coworkers brought in for Valentines day... and for dinner we had chicken from el pollo loco.... that was load day # 1
Lets see how load day # 2 goes...
I have bought my spinich and green bell pepper, onion... Eggs, aspargus... eating healthier is the key to this whole thing... I am excited...

Grapefruit Diet
The diet basically consists of this...
1/2 grapefruit or 8 oz unsweetened grapefruit juice with all three meals
for breakfast 2 eggs( made anyway) and 2 slices of bacon
then for lunch and dinner you have as much meat as you want... and a salad...(well as much as would make you full)
You can not have carbs (no bread, no pasta, etc) and then no sweets
also you need to stay away from the following veggies...
White onion (can have red onions) no potatoes (can have sweet potatoes) -Basically any starchy veggies you can not have...
you can have as much green veggies as you want
but i am going to be starting something new very shortly when i start it i will fill you in... I already have 2 family members doing this other one... one is in the middle of her first cycle of doing it (40 days is the cycle length) and she is down 23 pounds... and the other one is just starting...
